In news that may motivate you to floss tonight, a Long Island dentist reportedly knocked back one too many before operating on a patient's teeth yesterday, and was busted by cops. Authorities say they arrested Robert Garelick, 57, at his Lindenhurst, NY, dental office on Monday after it was reported that he seemed under the influence of alcohol. Officers arrived on scene at 4:30 p.m. to find a visibly drunk Garelick working on a patient. He was promptly arrested and charged with one count of second-degree reckless endangerment. Garelick is licensed to practice dentistry by the state of New York and is scheduled to be arraigned today. It is unknown whether the dentist was performing oral surgery at the time, or a routine teeth-cleaning.
