A drunk man in China’s Shanxin province attracted a crowd of spectators after climbing up on to some power lines and dangling upside-down, 30 ft above the ground (video below). After officials were alerted, they cut power and attempted to coax him down. But the climber continued his high-wire act for 15 minutes before he finally fell and landed on an emergency inflatable trampoline firefighters had set up below. On the ground, he told reporters that he had drank a lot because he was “in a bad mood.” Medical personnel reported he had no injuries besides “the excessive alcohol in his body.”
