Tami Erin, who rose to fame playing the spunky title character in The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking (1988), was arrested in Los Angeles for DUI and felony hit-and-run after she plowed into not one, not two, but three cars while driving drunk.

Erin allegedly hit the cars – apparently not all at once – on Saturday afternoon before fleeing the scene. She was later found by police and given a field sobriety test that she failed. According to police, Erin was “totally out of control…just out of it.” She allegedly refused a blood alcohol test and was released on $100,000 bail.

The arrest was the latest blow to the out-of-spotlight actress this year. Back in April, Erin was arrested for assaulting her roommate, while in October her ex-boyfriend shopped a sex tape that prompted her to take matters into her own hands and allow the company to release it with her blessing.  “I’m happy I took control of the situation and made a decision as a strong independent woman,” Erin said. “I love who I am and I love my sexuality … I’ve seen the sex tape now and it’s hot.”

Erin made her film debut in Pippi Longstocking following a worldwide talent search, but failed to capitalize on her rise to fame and has done little else in mainstream entertainment.
