Canadian heavy metal singer Sebastian Bach announced his recent sober milestone this weekend and thanked his girlfriend, model Minnie Gupta, for helping him get clean. “Today, I am exactly 90 days sober,” the singer posted on Instagram on Friday, alongside a photo of him rocking out on stage. “All thanks go to the woman I love @minniegupta. Thank you babe. For saving my life.” It’s the longest stretch of sobriety for the former Skid Row frontman “since i was 12 i think!! oops” he later tweeted. In response to a fan asking if life is better and “funner” without booze, the 45-year-old wrote: “Life is more serene. not such an emotional rollercoaster. better sleep.” Last month, Bach cancelled scheduled summer tour dates in South Africa “due to scheduling conflicts with the recording of his forthcoming studio album,” he reported on Facebook. Since leaving Skid Row in the 1990s, the rocker has worked on a range of projects, released a solo album, and performed in various Broadway productions. He has been arrested twice—once in 2010 for smashing a wine glass and biting a bar owner, and again in 2011 for possession of marijuana.
