In AA, the concept of fellowship, or—”the meeting after the meeting”—means going out to a diner or coffee shop with fellow sober people to shoot the shit about life, sobriety, the topic of the meeting, or how bad the coffee was this week. We at The Fix also want to invite our readers to get to know us better, and vice versa! If you want to keep up with what’s going on with us—or talk about what stories you liked and didn’t, what you agreed and disagreed with—you can get involved in the discussion in a few ways: One is our Facebook page. Just “like” us, and our stories will show up in your news feed. You can also follow us on Twitter. Every few months we host a lively interactive “Twitter chat” with nonprofit rehab network Phoenix House, where we invite our followers to debate everything from celebrities and addiction to prescription drug abuse to drug laws and policy. We also have a “Best of the Week” e-newsletter, which rounds up the best of our feature stories and blog posts from the week prior. It’s sent out each Friday, and you can subscribe to it here. (We won’t ever sell or give your email address to anyone else.) Finally, The Fix also is—very recently—on Google+. Add us to your circles, and stay in the loop about addiction and recovery news from around the world.
