Have you ever noticed the appalling absence of treatment facilities for super-rich Christians? Royce Dockrill has. His Valiant Recovery center in Kelowna, British Columbia is billed as “the first ultra luxury Christian addiction treatment program in North America.” Valiant Recovery cites unnamed statistics to support its notion that there is a lack of programs for upscale Christians “accustomed to certain standards and luxuries.” Because, let’s face it: Have you ever BEEN to a treatment center? OMG. “The setting can be depressing at these facilities,” says a Valiant Recovery press release, “with crowded conditions, bland food, and drab furnishings.” Imagine trying to make amends in those surroundings! But search no more, Christians of Taste with Substance Abuse Problems. Valiant Recovery features treatment provided “in an elegant upscale setting, with fine dining experiences and very personal service and attention.” Some very upscale, if obscure, treatments are also available. We can’t help recalling some ancient story having to do with a camel and the eye of a needle.
